The 2015 season schedule will include the debut of Monaco for the home opener on Saturday, June 6, along with the return of Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Brazil, Jamaica, England and Mexico, as well as City Teams from Boston, Dallas, Palm Beach, Philadelphia and a few top regional rivals for an action-packed season through the end of September.
Dating back more than 130 years in Newport, the polo matches are a unique and popular summertime tradition, open to the public. Audiences of several thousand spectators enjoy cheering for the international guests, as well as teams representing major US cities, playing against the home team.
Advanced ticket sales are available online starting in March. Tickets are also sold at the entry gates on game day, opening at 1pm. The polo matches run for 17 consecutive weeks, every Saturday from June through September at 5pm (4pm in September).
Monaco will be the 31st nation to compete in the Polo Series, joining the ranks of England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, India, New Zealand, Australia, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Barbados, Canada, Hungary, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Kenya, Brazil, China, Italy, Mexico, Sweden and Singapore.
