ALEX AND ANI has been selected to design the Team USA Award for the US Olympic Committee.  The ALEX AND ANI in-house design team headed by Founder, Creative Director, and CEO, Carolyn Rafaelian, designed the award.  Inspired by the Statue of Liberty’s iconic torch, the award "is every bit symbolic as it is beautiful". The body and base of the torch are made of copper while the flame is plated in 14K gold. The base is constructed of sodalite, also known as the “Stone of Athletes,” and is said to inspire endurance and willpower.

Forty-four of these awards were created and will be distributed at the ceremony on December 10, 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event will air on December 27, 2015 on the NBC sports network.

We’re honored to be involved in such a significant event and wish all of the nominees the best of luck!

A good holiday tale, when you are serving Stella Artois … Originally brewed for the holidays: by 1709, the Artois Brewery was so beloved internationally and locally, that a special batch was created by its new brewer, as a Christmas gift to the people of Leuven, Belgium. That special batch was the first to officially include "Stella" in its name. "Stella", meaning star in Latin, pays homage to the season, accompanied by the holiday star on every bottle.  So next time you see a bottle of Stella Artois, take note of the rich heritage paired with the rich flavor on and in every bottle.
