Please visit the BMW lounge on this date to enter for a chance to win a two day trip to the BMW performance driving school in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Alex and Ani Pavilion:

Pavilion Seats - $20/person for admission to the Alex and Ani Pavilion.  The Alex and Ani Pavilion opens at 3pm on game day.  To ensure availability, we recommend advanced reservations onlineselecting seats at available tables in the Pavilion diagram.  Tables seat up to 4, 6 or 8. General Parking is free.  Beverage service is provided from the Twisted Pony Bar.  No outside beverages permitted.  You may bring food.  Gourmet picnic fare by Russel Morin.  A limited number of upgrades may be available at the Pavilion's hostess desk on gameday for those with paid General Admission tickets. 

Positive Energy Polo Lounge - $50/person on 6/25, 7/2, 7/16, 7/30, 8/13 and 8/27 in 2016, for all-inclusive premium admission ticket, that includes complimentary gourmet hors d'oeuvres, specialty cocktails, reserved parking, private entrance and preferred seating among VIP sponsors & guests in the Positive Energy Polo Lounge. To reserve individual seats or tables that seat 4 or 8, please select seat(s) from tables located under the tent in the Alex and Ani Pavilion. (Corporate table sponsorship with promotional benefits is also available - please inquire for details: agnes@nptpolo.com).  Beverage service is provided.  No outside beverages permitted.

General Admission:

General Admission - $12/adult (kids free up to the age of 15) General Admission to Lawn, Grandstand and Reserved Tailgate Parking areas. Picnics of food & beverage are welcome.  Bring lawn chairs & blankets for Lawn area.  Lawn and Grandstand are available on a first-come-first-serve basis on game day, and cannot be reserved in advance without authorization from Polo Office. Gates open at 1pm/Noon in Sept.  General Admission tickets are sold online or at the entry gates on game day.  General Parking is free.  Tailgate Parking Spaces (located on the perimeter of the playing field) are offered for reservation online only (see details below).  

Parking:

Corporate Tailgate Parking  (Season Membership option). Reserved Tailgate Parking Space for the season, central position on North perimeter, includes installed tent and nameplate.

Reserved Tailgate Chalet- $100 per space.  Reserved numbered space on the North perimeter, includes intalled chalet tent, can accomodate 1 up to 15 people and 1 car.  These spaces may be reserved online only, selecting an available numbered space from the venue diagram above.  These spaces are located on the perimeter of the playing field from which you can view the match & enjoy a tailgate picnic with up to 15 people/space.  Limit of 1 space per household, unless Group ticket minimums are included in multiple space reservation.  Reservation does not include admission. General admission is required for each occupant (over the age of 15) in a tailgate parking space. Admission tickets can be added to your Tailgate Parking reservation or in a subsequent online purchase or at the entry gates on game day.  

Reserved Tailgate Parking - $50 per space.  Reserved numbered space on the South perimeter.  Can accomodate up to 15 people and/or 2 cars end to end.  These spaces may be reserved online only, selecting an available numbered space from the venue diagram above.  These spaces are located on the perimeter of the playing field from which you can view the match & enjoy a tailgate picnic with up to 15 people/space.  Limit of 1 space per household, unless Group ticket minimums are included in multiple space reservation.  Reservation does not include admission. Match Details:

 

A classic 6 chukker match is on tap for the Independence Cup, featuring Newport against one of its most formidable rivals in New England. 

“We'll be starting our holiday celebration with a good old fashioned American dual,” explained Dan Keating, Newport captain and founder of the Polo Series. 

During the match, a weekly door prize drawing of a $100 Gift Card to Forty 1° North went to a lucky Portsmouth resident, and the Best Tailgate received a Picnic Trunk from Stella Artois.

During the match, a weekly door prize drawing and the Best Tailgate will be awarded.  After 6 periods, called chukkers, the match will conclude with the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Toast & Trophy Presentation, as well as an autograph signing and cocktail hour to mingle with the players.

The Polo Series will feature 8 international teams this season including Mexico, Australia, Ireland, Italy, France, Jamaica, England, and the debut of Morocco, as well as 5 City Teams from major US cities and a few top regional rivals for an action-packed season through the end of September.  

The Polo Series will have hosted 32 nations this year over its 25 seasons including England, Ireland, Scotland, Chile, Kenya, Jamaica, Italy and Singapore this summer, and Costa Rica, Portugal, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, India, New Zealand, Australia, Chile, Barbados, France, Canada, Hungary, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Kenya, Brazil, and China, Sweden, Singapore, Monaco and Morocco.

Dating back more than 130 years in Newport, the polo matches are one of Newport’s grandest & most popular traditions, a living legacy from the Gilded Age, and open to the public.  Audiences of several thousand spectators enjoy the contests against international teams, as well as teams representing major US cities, playing against the home team every Sat, June thru Sept. at 5 PM / 4 PM in Sept.
