USA players are making a Carribean escape, for a good cause, to compete in the 10th annual Chukka Foundation-Hanover Charities Polo Event on February 17, 2019. The match has become the social highlight of the Jamaican polo season, to great success, raising $44,000 last year alone.
USA Team Captain, Dan Keating, will lead the intrepid group of Americans to face one of its toughest opponents. The ideal year-round Jamaican playing conditions breed high caliber play, posing a tall order to match the level of competition. The event will open with a generation match, then USA vs. Jamaica to conclude the day's festivities. Field-side highlights include afternoon tea and drinks, auctions, and Dj'd dancing. "We are pleased to be supporting these two organizations dedicated to education and community development in Jamaica," commented USA Team Captain Dan Keating. "Our members and fans have developed a close kinship with the Jamaican Polo Team, and we jumped at the chance to participate in their charity match."
While in Jamaica, the team will enjoy accommodations at Toby's Resort in Montego Bay, team headquarters to explore the stunning Jamaican south coast. Chukka Adventures, exploration of Jamaica's natural wonders, a tour of the famed rum estates and more await the team. Photos from the trip will be published in our February eMagazine edition (subscribe).
