The Newport Polo Club welcomes nominations for consideration as the beneficiary of its 20th annual charity ball on Friday, August 7th, 2020 at Rosecliff in Newport, RI. Inaugurated in 2001, this black-tie fundraiser originally supported Newport's Polo Education Foundation for youth scholarships to learn the sport of polo. It has since evolved to provide wider community fundraising by directing proceeds to a different local civic or charitable non-profit each year.
Nominations should satisfy the following criteria for evaluation by the gala committee: the organization must be a 501c3; the organization must have an active local volunteer corps to serve on the gala auction committee; additional consideration will be given to the nonprofit's relevance or impact on our community and to the timeliness of need & mission. Submit your nomination by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gala sponsors and auction donors for the 2020 Polo Ball and auction are also welcome to inquire via email to email@example.com.
Diamonds Are Forever, the 2019 International Polo Charity Ball welcomed 450 guests at Newport's famed Marble House mansion and raised a record $35,000 to benefit the Newport Music Festival.
