The Newport International Polo Series is pleased to announce the release of a 10-page feature story in Polo International, the preeminent polo magazine, published in Argentina with world-wide subscribership. The glossy ‘coffee table’ magazine is reputed for its coverage of world-class polo events at elite destinations around the globe, and is circulated to every polo club in the world. Now in its twenty-seventh year in print, this issue of PI leads off with coverage of the prestigious Hurlingham Open - one of the triple crown events of the Argentine polo season, and traverses the world showcasing the most prominent recent tournaments.
The Newport editorial is loaded with glossy full-page photography including iconic Newport panoramic photos of the legendary mansions, the Cliff Walk, Rosecliff, Newport Country Club, Fort Adams, Newport Harbor, and Glen Farm to complement dramatic polo action shots from several matches of the 25th anniversary season, including Newport playing against Palm Beach and Philadelphia, and USA competing against Italy and Australia, as well as images from the annual International Polo Charity Ball and faces in the crowd at the Newport International Polo Series XXV matches at Glen Farm.
Additional mentions are given to Rosecliff, newportFILM, Clarke Cooke House, Hotel Viking, Forty 1 North, Atria Senior Living, Stella Artois, BMW, Veuve Clicquot Champagne, NBC10, Lufthansa, Hyatt Regency and attractions including Newport Mansion tours, Aerial helicopter tours, 12M yacht sailing, tennis at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, bicycling and motor scootering, and events including Newport Flower Show, Newport Antique Show, Jazz and Folks Festivals, Wine and Food Festival, International Boat Show and Tennis Week.
“We are thrilled that the international spotlight has alighted upon our unique Polo Series and that we could share its glow with our sponsors & promotional partners in the community,” states Dan Keating, president of the Polo Series. “By presenting Newport to the world, we hope this will, in turn, bring visitors from far and wide to Newport, and inspire new participants in the Polo Series from among the 80 polo playing nations around the globe.”
“At an advertising cost of top dollar per page, and circulation to a targeted audience of ultra high net-worth, including royalty, around the world, the promotional value of this placement for Rhode Island tourism and for our sponsors is invaluable” adds Kathryn Farrington of Discover Newport, the regional tourism bureau. “It reaches an audience of world travelers, and its quality has a long shelf life. This issue is definitely a collector’s item and a major publicity coup.”
“We are grateful to Kathryn Farrington at Discover Newport and to the contributing photographers including Matthew J. Atanian, Kevin Bernard, Michelle Oeil Photography, Quísan of Cocoa & Co, Stefy Hilmer Photography and Onne Van der wal for their allied support of this promotional opportunity” adds Keating.
A limited number of copies of this No. 107, 2016 (English Edition) may be available at the Saturday matches of the Newport International Polo Series, beginning in June, or upon request. They are otherwise available by yearly subscriptions. Featured excerpts can also be read on our website.
