Field Marshal
Newport Polo's Field
Marshal is responsible for monitoring event activities and crowd management during the public
exhibition polo matches of the Newport International Polo Series. The Field Marshal is a
primary point of contact on game day, circulating throughout the venue to provide attendee
assistance.
Typical
Responsibilities Include:
- Check-in arrivals
at their designated reserved tailgate spaces;
- Place game day
signage;
- Direct parking;
- Respond to customer
complaints;
- Circulate around the
polo grounds to monitor attendees and condition of venue;
- Provide directions and
other helpful information to visitors;
- Assist transporting
materials, other team members, and guests requiring assistance getting from parking to their
seats as needed;
Qualifications:
- Friendly, helpful, and
professional disposition with customer service orientation;
- Ability to maintain
calm composure in all situations, and follow protocol for conflict
resolution;
- Reliable, responsible,
and dependable;
- Requires a minimum of
1 year of work experience; experience in customer service, event management, or event
security preferred;
- Willing to work in
outdoor setting, including in inclement weather conditions;
- Valid driver’s
license;

Availability
Typical hours are
Saturday, 2:30 PM - 7:00PM (1:30 - 6:00PM in September). Candidates must be
available every Saturday, June - September.
