The Newport Polo Club cordially invites you to the 24th Annual International Polo Charity Ball on Friday, August 1, 2025 to fete international guests of honor - soon to be named - in Newport's most illustrious Gilded Age mansions, Rosecliff, for a celebration of summer to benefit worthy causes in our community!
"This is the pinnacle of our summer, that many of us look forward to all year,” expressed Dan Keating, gala MC, captain and Polo Club President. “After successful fundraisers and 23 years with the most lively partygoers under one roof, we are excited to assemble for a celebration with a very special international team from afar for our next mission to champion community causes, as the gameplan for our next success.
Our MC and Gala Ambassadors will receive over 400 generous and fun-loving epicureans from our polo community to make a red carpet entrance for the annual sell-out black-tie affair, one of the summer's most anticipated social events. Support from gala sponsors and the very best in live entertainment promise an unforgettable experience.
Organized by Newport Polo, proceeds from the evening, including Live & Silent Auctions, will benefit RI’s most timely causes, in a specific theme of relevant beneficiary nominees. Past efforts have supported conservation, education, healthcare, essential needs, and the arts. Nominations from potential beneficiaries are open for consideration by the beneficiary selection committee.
The annual gala dress code is black tie formal, corresponding to a novel theme and moniker each year. Details are to be announced soon.
A gala Pre-Party to meet & greet the Guests of Honor, by RSVP, will launch the evening's festivities from a favorite Newport destination, to be announced in the coming weeks, followed by the main event at Rosecliff for sunset ocean views from the lawn & terrace with enticing hors d'oeuvres, specialty themed cocktails and a tantalizing Silent Auction of a few dozen select and highly curated exclusives for dueling bidders. As twilight evokes an irridescent ocean and garden backdrop, guests will delight in a seated 3-course gourmet dinner presentation on the terrace, and a whirlwind Live Auction offering up a quintuplet of the night's premier opportunities. The gilded ballroom will come to life with a live band concert for dancing 'til the stroke of midnight when valeted departures will receive access to the Skybar, Newport's VIP dancefloor atop the iconic Clarke Cooke House.

Festivities carry on through the weekend as the international guests of honor take to the polo field on the following afternoon to compete against USA in the Newport International Polo Series. POLICIES: Ticketed guests must be 21 or older to attend the gala (or accompanied by a parent or guardian). Proof of age may be required. Be sure to provide the best email address, to receive all event details and notifications. As per our Terms & Conditions, REFUNDS must be requested in writing by the customer, via email, at least 30 days prior to the ticketed event (by noon on July 1, 2025) sent to: agnes@nptpolo.com; a handling fee of $15 will be assessed. Newport Polo reserves the right to reinstate Health Safety requirements if necessary, to comply with State safety guidelines and health mandates. (Should Covid safety protocols be reinstated, notification will be made by email to ticket purchasers, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the ticket holder to check this page for any posted safety requirements prior to the refund deadline, and prior to attending. Failure to cooperate will result in nonadmission and - if inside of 30 days - may not meet refund criteria. About Rosecliff: Rosecliff is the premier estate amidst America’s finest collection of Gilded Age mansions. After a fairytale wedding, Nevada silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs commissioned architect Stanford White in 1899 to model Rosecliff after the Grand Trianon, the garden retreat of French kings at Versailles. After the house was completed in 1902, at a reported cost of $2.5 million, Mrs. Oelrichs hosted fabulous entertainments here, including a party featuring famed magician Harry Houdini. An extensive, multi-million dollar renovation took place this year, and its highly anticipated reopening is scheduled for this September.
