Newport Polo is seeking a candidate with design skills to assist in the year-round design and production of the annual signature merchandise collection from its in-house design studio, with flexible weekend hours to earn supplemental hourly income, with additional opportunities June through September for in-person sales with commission bonus.  

Turn design and fashion interests into business sense and valuable resume experience. Gain hands-on insights into building the brand profile, collections and ultimately sales in the fieldside Pro Shop - an open air boutique at the polo grounds during the summer months in a fun, live event atmosphere with a receptive audience for the popular sportswear and merchandise collection.

 

Typical Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist in design & production
  • Shipping & Receiving of new merchandise and web orders. 
  • Maintain digital inventory
  • Modeling and Photography 
  • Retail sales and customer service
Qualifications:
  • Design skills
  • Highly organized
  • Technical skills for web-based inventory tracking and product cataloguing; electronic register sales
  • Outgoing, friendly, helpful, and professional disposition
  • Merchandising acumen and retail sales experience a plus 
  • Committed and punctual
Reports To
General Manager
 
Compensation
Hourly commensurate with experience
 
Hours & Availability
(Oct-May) - Saturdays and/or Sundays, 6-8 hours; Weekday hours may be avail, if preferred;
(June-Sept) - Saturdays 2:00PM - 8:00PM (1:00PM - 7:00PM in September).  Additional hours may be available.
