Polo Party Group Reservations (for 20+ Adults):

  • Timeline:
    • Oct 1 - Jan 24: Pre-Season Sale - Group reservations are encouraged during the preseason sale. Opportunities limited per match. Contact the Polo Office with # of guests, date(s) & seating preferences from the options described below.
    • Feb 1: Box Office opens to the public; self-booking a Group Reservation can be done online or Contact the Polo Office with # of guests, date(s) & seating preferences from the options described below.
    • June - September: Newport International Polo Series - matches every Saturday at 5PM, 4PM in September. Schedule subject to change. Self-book a Group Reservation online or Contact the Polo Office with # of guests, date(s) & seating preferences from the options described below.

  • Group reservations of any kind for the current season require payment in full to secure the reservation. 
  • If you wish to host a Polo Party for a group, we recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability. 
  • Tickets are electronic and sent via email to distribute to guests. All guests must present proper admission ticket at entry gate; no admission without ticket.  Group tickets are emailed upon completing the reservation.  Polo party hosts must ensure that guests receive tickets in advance. Guest lists cannot be accommodated at the entry gates; polo party tickets may not be distributed at the Polo Grounds nor left at Will Call.
  • Reservations for Polo Parties prior to the Box Office opening can only be booked through the Polo office - Contact the Polo Office with the # of guests, date(s) & seating preferences from the options described below.

A.  Newport Life Cabana Club


$2000

  • Private Party Suites for groups of 30-50; Free General Parking. 
  • Premium location on north perimeter between the Main Gate and Pavilion.
  • Includes 40 Admission Tickets (which can be customized with your logo, occasion, etc); Additional tickets can be purchased at $25/Adult. 
  • Fully tented 20' x 20' outdoor area on raised platform deck, plus 8' x 20' furnished interior hospitality & service area.
  • Lounge seating and cocktail & bar seating, mezzanine seating, and hospitalty furnishings include 8' banquet, 6' console/gift/food station and 5' bar.
  • Up to 4 Suites available per match. Maximum capacity is 50 persons per suite.

  • Catering & Beverage provisions arranged at the customer's discretion; caterer must provide Rhode Island liquor license and certificate of insurance to Newport Polo at least 7 days in advance of the event (Contact Us for complete requirements).
  • Refunds are provided with at least 60 days advanced notice of the event, in writing via email.
  • Weather: If match is postponed due to weather conditions that compromise game safety, reservations are honored on the Rain Date - the following day, Sunday, at same time.  Groups may opt to hold their party as scheduled, despite postponement of polo match, OR transfer to Rain Date or receive a refund if and only if Ticket Insurance is included at the time of reservation.

B. Reserved Lawn Package

  • Ideal for adult or family gathering; General Parking is free.
  • Reserved area on the Lawn between the southside Tailgates (near the national flags) and the Grandstand.

  • 25 Chairs in rows on the lawn, set up by Newport Polo.

C.  Pavilion Table Seating

  • Ideal for adult event.
  • Tables seat 4, 6 or 8 on the Lawn, 6 on the Porch, 4 or 6 on the Decks, and 4 or 8 under the Tent.  
  • Tables include floor-length white tablecloths and floral centerpieces;  Party may add own decoration to tables; no confetti, glass, or attachments to the Pavilion and furnishings.
  • Exclusive use of designated areas offered with minimum reservation as follows: 
    • Tent: 76 seats, up to 112 - covered by 30’ x 60’ white 3-peak tent with optional side panels, elevated above the Lawn and Porch levels for unobstructed viewing of the match and grounds.
    • Main Deck: 40 seats - covered by 12' x 36' white tent with optional side panels, elevated above the Lawn and Porch for unobstructed viewing of the match and grounds.
    • Upper Deck: 44 seats - is covered by 12' x 36' white tent for 44 guests (optional side panels), elevated above the Lawn, Porch, and Main Deck for viewing of the match and grounds.
    • Exclusive or shared use of any party space is based on availability.
    • Furnishings/seating layout may be tailored to the party's specifications.
    • Tent & Deck levels may be reserved together to host large parties (Max capacity 200 seats).
  • All Pavilion seating is handicap accessible, except Upper Deck.
  • Beverage service provided by wait staff to Pavilion tables – bar menu available to make advanced selections; advanced notice is helpful to ensure your specifications.
    • For parties of 40+, one dedicated server will be required at the standard rate ($120/server + 18% gratuity) - additional servers recommended based on number of guests.
    • Private bar optional for parties on the Tent and Deck levels.
    • No outside beverages permitted within Pavilion.
    • Bar tab payment by cash, credit card, or corporate check at close of event.
  • Food/Catering at Party’s arrangement.
  • Pavilion Host will assist guests to Party's reserved tables.
  • Payment in full required upon selection of date to secure reservation.
  • Refunds are provided with at least 30 days advanced notice of the event, in writing via email.

D. Reserved Tailgate & Chalet Parking

$100/Tailgate + $25/Adult Lawn Admission -or- $125/Chalet (includes tent) + $25/Adult Lawn Admission

  • There is a Limit of 1 Tailgate/Chalet Parking Space per Family/Household, per match, unless ticket minimums are met for multi-space Group Reservations as stated below.   
  • Group Reservation is for multiple Tailgate/Chalet Parking Spaces, not for 1 Tailgate Parking Space.  The Group Reservation program requires the Tailgate reservation fee plus the purchase of a minimum quantity of Lawn Admission tickets per space, at the time of the space reservation. You may either self-reserve once the Box Office opens or contact us with the dates and number of guests so that we can provide availability and process your reservation.  Once the Box Office opens for the season, availability of Tailgate Parking spaces will become limited, therefore please contact us so that we may better assist you.

4 Spaces (requires min purchase of 60 tix) for parties of 60-79 people
5 Spaces (requires min purchase of 80 tix) for parties of 80-119 people
6 Spaces (requires min purchase of 120 tix) for parties of 120-149 people
7 spaces (requires min purchase of 150 tix) for parties of 150-179 people
8 spaces (requires min purchase of 180 tix) for parties of 180-209 people
9 Spaces (requires min purchase of 210 tix) for parties of 210-249 people
10 spaces (requires min purchase of 250 tix) for parties of 250+ people
 
  • Single Tailgate/Chalet parking spaces are reserved by self-booking only, when the Box Office is open, and have no ticket minimum requirement.  However, the space reservation does not include admission.  All adult occupants are required to have a Lawn Ticket to access the Tailgates/Chalets.  Each Tailgate/Chalet can accommodate up to 15 people - reserve multiple spaces for larger groups - plus a standard passenger car; guest parking in nearby general parking.
  • Chalets, 1 - 28, include installed 10' x 10' Chalet tent, and can accommodate 1 car parked directly behind tent.
  • Tailgates, 29 - 88, are lawn spaces without tents and can accommodate two cars parked end to end, but for maximum-sized groups, the second car should be eliminated to reduce overcrowding.  
  • Picnics & Grills: Grills must be above the grass and away from tents; coals may NOT be dumped on the premises.  Catered or byo food & beverage are welcome; onsite concessions are listed below.  Catering vehicles and prep area must be located within your space, or General Parking by pre-approval from Newport Polo.  Professional bartending provided by caterer or another vendor must provide Rhode Island liquor license and certificate of insurance to Newport Polo at least 7 days in advance of the event (Contact Us for complete requirements).
  • Tents: If you intend to bring a tent: please be advised that tents may not be placed in the front row. Tents may be placed behind the flag poles in the Tailgate section of the venue.  Additional tent may be placed aft of Chalet tent - elimnates space for car parking at the Chalet.  Branded tents and commercial signage/display/promotion of any kind are not permitted without Newport Polo's approval.  Tents larger than 10’x12’ require express permission and guidelines from Newport Polo in advance (Contact Us) to avoid property damage to underground utilities; Tents that are >350 square feet are required to obtain an official Tent Permit from the Town of Portsmouth - at your discretion (Apply Online); we recommend that you allow up to 5 days.

E. Grandstand (bleachers)

  • Ideal for adult or family event; children age 15 & younger are free; Parking is free.
  • To reserve 1/2 or All of Grandstand, 50 or 100 tickets need to be purchased in advance.
