THIS PAGE CONTAINS INFORMATION ONLY about pricing & seating options for polo matches, and about our ticket policies. This is not the page from which to purchase polo match tickets. The Box Office Schedule, and links for purchasing tickets, are provided below.
OCT 1 - JAN 24: Preseason sale for Polo Parties and for Season Passes runs from Oct.1 - Jan. 24.
JAN 25-31: Priority Access to the Box Office from January 25-31, for Season Passholders that purchase a pass by 8AM, Jan. 24.
FEB 1: Box Office opens to the general public February 1 - Sept. 27, offering polo match admission options including Pavilion Table reservations, Tailgate & Chalet parking reservations and corresponding Adult Lawn Seats, and special event tickets. Ticket & Parking Options are described.
JUN - SEP: Newport International Polo Series matches, every Saturday at 5PM, 4PM in September.

Polo match admission tickets are sold online from each event's page. When the Box Office is open for the season, a ticketing portal (shown below) will appear on each polo match's webpage (with links within the diagram if browsing from a PC) to the various seating options. To go to the Polo Match webpages to buy tickets, click on Events/Tickets or use the shortcuts on our home page where you can toggle across a listing of upcoming Matches. Upon completing a purchase, your ticket dashboard page will appear, loaded with your tickets - SAVE or BOOKMARK the URL address of that page for future access to your tickets! An emailed receipt is also immediately generated by this website, to the email that was provided, and will also contain a link to the ticket dashboard to access the tickets. Tickets are NOT MAILED - they are stored on your ticket dashboard. Please contact the Polo Office at info@nptpolo.com if you can't find your tickets.
Polo Party Reservations (for parties of 30+ adults) and Season Passes are available from Oct.1 (follow the links for details). Matches sell out months in advance; an email Wait List is offered by match and by seating preference; and - at Gametime - unoccupied Tailgates, Chalets, will be available for purchase at the Main Gate; unoccupied Pavilion Tables will be available at the hostess stand with a lawn ticket upgrade. Lawn tickets are always available at the gate on game day.

Reserved Tables - $35/seat - online - sold as Tables with 4, 6, or 8 seats. Located at centerfield, by online reservation from available positions shown on a real-time floor plan diagram for each match (see Events/Tickets).
A hostess will seat you. Opens at 4pm / 3pm in Sept. Beverage service provided to seated customers; walkup service at the Patio Bar. Outside beverages are not permitted. Picnics of food are welcome. No coolers. No pets. No smoking.
Tables are located on the (L) Lawn, (P) Porch*, (T) Tent*, (D) Main Deck* and (U) Upper Deck*. [*Located above lawn level, reached by stairs; handicap accessible, except Upper Deck.]
[Private seating areas for groups are available including the Pavilion Tent (requires purchase of 76 seats), Main Deck (requires purchase of 40 seats), and Upper Deck (requires purchase of 44 seats). Contact Us for group reservations of 20+ guests].
Pavilion Parking - General Parking areas, accessed through the Main Gate and Lower Gate, are a short walk to the Pavilion. A limited number of Pavilion parking spaces are also available on a first-come-first-serve basis, directed by Newport Polo parking attendants, accessed through the Lower Gate. They will fill up quickly.
Lawn Seating Tickets
- $25/adult - online & at entry gates - Adult admission for seating in a.)

areas. Kids in Lawn seating areas are free up to the age of 15 (see Events/Tickets).
Picnics of food & beverage are welcome. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Carry In/Carry Out trash, please. Gates open at 1pm / Noon in Sept. Tickets scanned at gate. Parking is at reserved Tailgate* or Chalet*, or in General Parking - see details below.
Lawn Pass - $200 (Member) nearly 40% savings for individual admission plus additional benefits, from June-September for the following uses: a.) with reserved Tailgate* or Chalet*; b.) for unassigned Lawn seating and Grandstand seating. Follow the link for details.

Chalets - $125 per space, per match - online - Reserved, numbered space on the North perimeter of the playing field for up to 15 people for lawn seating in the front row, that you 'drive-to' and can park within, to picnic & spectate. Includes installed 10ft. x 10ft. Chalet tent. Can accommodate 1 standard passenger car directly behind Chalet tent; oversized or additional car(s) to park in General Parking. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic to enjoy the match. Carry in/Carry out trash, please. Chalets may be reserved online only, by accessing the Chalet parking diagram for each match, from the Events/Tickets page. Limit of 1 Chalet per household, per match, unless Polo Party ticket minimums are included with multiple space reservation. Chalet reservation does not include admission. Lawn Tickets required for each adult occupant (over the age of 15) in a Chalet. Lawn tickets are sold online from the Events/Tickets page, and at the entry gates on game day. Each Chalet can accommodate up to 15 people.
Tailgates - $100 per space, per match - online - Reserved, numbered space on the South/West perimeter of the playing field for up to 15 people for lawn seating in the front row, that you 'drive-to' and can park within, to picnic & spectate. Can accommodate 2 standard passenger cars parked end to end; oversized or additional car(s) to park in General Parking. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic, and pop-up tent (10’x10’) for shelter & comfort. Carry in/Carry out trash, please. Tailgates may be reserved online only, by accessing the Tailgate parking diagram for each match, from the Events/Tickets page. Limit of 1 Tailgate per household, per match, unless Polo Party ticket minimums are included with multiple space reservation. Tailgate reservation does not include admission. Lawn Tickets required for each adult occupant (over the age of 15) in a Tailgate. Lawn tickets are sold online from the Events/Tickets page, and at the entry gates on game day. Each Tailgate can accommodate up to 15 people.
Corporate Tailgate - $4,800 (Season Membership option) Reserved Chalet in a central position on North perimeter with weekly admission for 10 adults for the entire season. Limited avail. Follow the link for details.
General Parking - free with admission.

To request a message on the Brenton Hotel Jumbotron scoreboard, please follow this link to complete the requirements. Request must be received by 9AM on the Friday before the match; late requests cannot be accommodated due to insufficient time for production team to program the message.
If you intend to bring a tent: please be advised that tents may not be placed in the front row. Tents may be placed behind the flag poles for those with reserved Tailgates on the South perimeter, and in tent positions demarcated in the West Lawn Seating; (tents and umbrellas not permitted in South Lawn). Branded tents and commercial signage/display/promotion of any kind are not permitted without Newport Polo's approval. Tents larger than 10’x12’ require express permission and guidelines from Newport Polo in advance (Contact Us) to avoid property damage to underground utilities; Tents that are ≥ 350 square feet are required to obtain an official Tent Permit from the Town of Portsmouth - at your discretion (Apply Online); we recommend that you allow up to 5 days. Picnics of food & beverage are welcome in Lawn Seating. Grills & Firepits must be inspected and given a permit by Newport Polo field marshall prior to ignition. Field marshals will require that any fire or grill be raised well above the grass to protect against damage to the grass, and will provide instructions for disposal of coals/ash.
PLEASE NOTE: RESERVATIONS CANNOT BE EXCHANGED FOR A DIFFERENT EVENT. Refunds for polo match tickets must be requested in writing by the buyer, via email, at least 7 days prior to the ticketed event (by noon on the previous Friday) sent to: agnes@nptpolo.com. (Tailgate & Chalet reservations may be eligible for refunds up to 24 hours prior to the event, subject to resaleability.) Individual seats at Pavilion tables are not refundable; only the full table with all of its seats is refundable with advanced notice as specified. For all eligible refund requests, a refund of the face value of the ticket(s) will be provided; a $15 processing fee will be assessed on each refunded transaction; nonrefundable fees include 3rd party handling & service charges, and ticket insurance. Rebooking a new reservation is at the customer's discretion. For a refund request, please include as much information as possible, including the date of the match, the name on the order, and the specific portion of the order you wish to cancel, to be refunded. The refunded amount will be reversed to the original form of payment tendered at the time of purchase. Safety mandates do not waive refund policies. Refunds require scheduling, for professional handling; please allow up to 30 days to receive refund.
International Polo Charity Ball: refunds must be requested in writing by the customer, via email, at least 30 days prior to the ticketed event (by noon on July 1, 2025) sent to: agnes@nptpolo.com.
Reservation Changes - Newport Polo reserves the right to make necessary changes to Ticket Holder's reservation, including but not limited to, reassignment of the location of reserved area(s), modifications to venue seating and layout, and allowable occupancy of reserved area(s). Reservation changes and acts of government regulation do not waive refund policies.
Polo is an outdoor sport, subject to weather conditions out of Newport Polo’s control. It is Newport Polo’s intention to hold the match on the appointed date if at all possible. The match will stay on schedule until such time as game conditions are deemed prohibitive to start the match. In order to conduct the match, it may include having a Rain Delay, i.e. delaying the start time on the same day, or Postponement to the Rain Date, due to weather-related unsuitable game conditions prior to the start of the match. The Rain Date is always the following day, Sunday, at the originally scheduled time. Unsuitable field conditions are typically the cumulative result of multiple factors, therefore difficult to predict precisely when they might affect a change to the match schedule; it could occur prior to or after the start of the match.
In the occurrence of a match postponement to the Rain Date, all original polo match tickets & reservations will be transferred to the Rain Date. If the Rain Date must be canceled at any point, prior to or after its start, due to weather-related unsuitable game conditions, the match will not be rescheduled. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE MADE, EXCEPT FOR TICKETS THAT WERE INSURED WITH TICKET INSURANCE AT THE TIME OF TICKET PURCHASE.
Ticket insurance is offered at the time of checkout. Also at checkout, the website requires your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions to complete a ticket purchase.
In inclement weather, it is your responsibility to check the Match Status recording on our Info Hotline (401) 846-0200 x2 and for ALERTS on this website, both of which are updated with any status change for the impending match.
We are not likely to have advanced notice of a match cancellation due to weather-related field conditions sooner than the start of the match, 5pm / 4pm in September because it is our intention to have the match at the original time and date if at all possible. Match officials will assess actual conditions before making a determination; a schedule change based on a weather forecast is unlikely.
Newport Polo is not responsible for refunds of private service arrangements or contracts due to changes in the polo match schedule, including postponement or cancellation.
Optional ticket insurance may be purchased to receive a refund of the ticket's face value in the event the Rain Policy goes into effect.
The non-refundable Ticket Insurance cost is:
$5 per Adult Lawn Admission Ticket
$7 per Pavilion Admission Ticket
$20 per Tailgate
$25 per Chalet
Ticket Insurance Terms and Conditions
Ticket Insurance may be exercised for refunds in the following circumstances
Private Parties: Please refer to your rental agreement for cancellation and refund requirements.
A NEWPORT POLO TICKET IS A REVOCABLE LICENSE AND DOES NOT CONFER ANY PROPERTY RIGHTS OR INTERESTS ON THE HOLDER. NEWPORT POLO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REVOKE THE LICENSE GRANTED BY ITS TICKET AT ANY TIME AND FOR ANY REASON IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION. TICKET HOLDER AGREES THAT ANY FAILURE TO ABIDE BY NEWPORT POLO POLICIES, PROVIDES AN APPROPRIATE BASIS FOR NEWPORT POLO’S REVOCATION OF ITS TICKET (AND ALL SEASON TICKETS, WHERE APPLICABLE) WITHOUT NOTICE OR REFUND. IN ADDITION, NEWPORT POLO MAY REFUSE ADMISSION TO, OR EJECT FROM NEWPORT POLO PREMISES, ANY TICKET HOLDER, WITHOUT REFUND, IF THE HOLDER FAILS TO COMPLY WITH ANY NEWPORT POLO POLICIES APPLICABLE TO CONDUCT AT NEWPORT POLO EVENTS OR IS DEEMED TO BE DISORDERLY. INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE, OR INTERFERENCE WITH THE PLAY OF THE GAME MAY RESULT IN EJECTION FROM NEWPORT POLO PREMISES (WITHOUT REFUND), ARREST, FORFEITURE OF TICKET PRIVILEGES AND OTHER LEGAL ACTION.
THE HOLDER OF THIS TICKET VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISK AND DANGER OF PROPERTY LOSS AND PERSONAL INJURY INCIDENTAL TO THE SPORT OF POLO AND RELATED ACTIVITIES AT NEWPORT POLO PREMISES, INCLUDING SPECIFICALLY (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) THOSE RELATING TO THE STRUCTURE AND STRUCTURES & EQUIPMENT & FURNISHINGS SET UPON THE VENUE, AND CONDITIONS OF THE POLO GROUNDS AND VENUE, AND THE DANGER OF BEING INJURED BY FLYING OBJECTS INCLUDING BALLS AND MALLETS. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TICKET HOLDER IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ALL CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE AGAINST THE PARTICIPATING POLO CLUB, MANAGEMENT, OWNERS, PLAYERS, AFFILIATED ENTITIES, AND THEIR AGENTS, LICENSEES, VENDORS, EMPLOYEES, INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS AND REPRESENTATIVES (COLLECTIVELY THE "RELEASED PARTIES"), AND RELEASES AND DISCHARGES THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITY, COSTS, EXPENSES, DAMAGES OR LOSSES (WHETHER DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL AND WHETHER ARISING UNDER STATUTE, FROM NEGLIGENCE, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE GAME OR EVENT FOR WHICH THIS TICKET GRANTS ADMISSION, NEWPORT POLO PREMISES, OR ANY SERVICE PROVIDED OR ANYTHING SOLD THERE NOTWITHSTANDING THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENT ACT OR OMISSION ON THE PART OF SUCH RELEASED PARTY OR PARTIES.
The holder of this ticket is subject to Newport Polo rules and regulations including smoking restrictions in the vicinity of others, and all laws and ordinances in effect in the Town of Portsmouth and State of RI, including leash laws and littering.
Newport Polo is the exclusive owner of all copyright and other proprietary rights of the event and shall have the unrestricted right and license to use the ticket holder's likeness as included in any broadcast (live or recorded), telecast or photograph taken in connection with the event. The holder grants permission to Newport Polo and licensees to utilize the ticket holder's image or likeness incidental to any live or recorded video display or other transmission or reproduction, in whole or in part, of the game to which this ticket grants admission, for any purpose whatsoever including commercial purposes.
All sales are final unless the Refund Policies are met. Newport Polo’s event schedule is subject to change for any reason at any time (including match dates, times, and opponents). Newport Polo reserves the right to make adjustments to reservations, as necessary, including for compliance to Group Reservation policies, and to safety mandates which may affect its regular venue layout, including but not limited to location, spacing and occupancy. Should such mandates go into effect, reservations will mirror venue adjustments. Aforementioned changes to schedule, venue and reservations do not constitute cause for refund nor waiver of refund policies. If the game specified on a ticket is rescheduled for any reason including due to a rain-out, this ticket will be valid for the rescheduled game date and time, and the ticket holder will not be entitled to a ticket exchange or refund for any reason. Handling & service charges are not refundable at any time. If the game specified on this ticket is suspended for any reason, including due to weather conditions, and the opinion of the umpires is that a significant portion of the game has been played to constitute a match, the remainder of the game will not be rescheduled, and the game will be considered complete. Ticket holders for such game will not be entitled to any refund, exchange or credit. Newport Polo will not provide a ticket exchange or refund for any counterfeit tickets purchased in the secondary market. Lost or stolen tickets purchased online can only be voided and exchanged upon request by the ticket purchaser.
