There is no better Saturday afternoon in Newport than Newport Polo! Energy and anticipation fill the air as the ponies and players mount. From Lawn picnics to tables in the Pavilion to the tailgates, Newport Polo fans take it to another level! For over thirty years the intensity on the field is only matched by the loyal fans fieldside! Let's give a round of applause to a 33rd memorable season and crown the very best of the Best In Show!

During the season, our judges scoured the sidelines each week in search of the most extravagant bacchanal to bestow our Best In Show laurels.  A special prize from Stella Artois and tote full of goodies from Cocoa & Co. were awarded to toast the standout group, along with a much-coveted moment of fame on the Brenton Hotel Jumbotron.  Novel weekly themes provided endless possibilities for aspirants to trick out their picnics with an eye on the prize.  Our resident portraitist, photographer Cocoa & Co, has documented the creative contenders to acknowledge every detail of each ballyhoo.

Entry to the Contest is Free and no payment or purchase is necessary to enter or to win. A payment or purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law. Contest entry is online only.

The “Best of the Best in Show 2024” contest is sponsored by Newport Polo Inc (“Sponsor”).  This contest is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”).  By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and understands that the results of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects.

Eligibility
This Contest is open only to current, legal residents of the continental United States, who are 18 years of age or older, located within the United States at the time of entry. Contest participants that are not eligible to win the Grand Prize are: employees of Newport Polo Inc and Cocoa & Co., and members of employees’ households, whether or not related.  To be eligible to win the Grand Prize, contest winner must a.) be the organizer/host and appear in the photo with the most likes in the Contest Album, and b.) must tag themselves in the photo, and c.) be a current Fan/Follower of the Newport Polo Facebook fan page (by Liking the page).

To be eligible for a voting reward, participants must meet the following: a.) Like a minimum of one (1) photo in the 2024 Best of the Best in Show album on Newport Polo's Facebook fan page, and b.) be a current Fan/Follower of the Newport Polo Facebook fan page (by Liking the page), and c.) be age 18 or older and a legal resident of the United States, located within the United States at the time of voting.   Each voter is responsible for sending a message to the Newport Polo Facebook Fan Page to claim the voting reward.  (Voting Reward described above).

Contest Period
The Contest starts at 5:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, December 10, 2024, and ends at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, December 20, 2024 (“Contest Period”). All votes must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, December 20, 2024.

Voting
Voting for a winner will be conducted on Newport Polo's Facebook fan page, within an album of entries that have been pre-selected by Newport Polo.  A Like on a photo within the album constitutes a Vote.  Participants may Vote for more than one Entry, as well as for themselves (if they are a nominee). 

The Contest Sponsor further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it believes in its sole and unfettered discretion infringes upon or violates the rights of any third party, or otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules, or violates U.S. or applicable state or local law.

Winner Selection
One (1) Entrant Grand Prize Winner (“Grand Prize Winner”) will be determined by the Entry receiving the most votes.

The winner will be announced on or about December 21, 2024.

Announcement and instructions for the prize will be sent to the e-mail address on file for the potential prize winner’s entry.  Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her e-mail account for prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this contest.  If there is no e-mail address on file for the potential prize winner, the potential prize winner will be responsible for monitoring Newport Polo's Facebook Fan Page for prize notification and the potential prize winner will be responsible for contacting Newport Polo by sending a Facebook message to the Newport Polo Facebook fan page to claim the prize.  If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by the Administrator (or Sponsor) within fifteen (15) days, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize.  Upon the request of the Sponsor, the potential winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release, and Prize Acceptance Form and IRS W-9 form. If a potential winner fails to comply with these official rules, that potential winner will be disqualified.  Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.

Prize

Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received. Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting of these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Contest, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsor determines that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any internet network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
